Our mailbox rental allows you to use one (or more)of our addresses - which unlike other companies we do not publish to prevent them being listed as maildrops on databases - as your registered office, personal, or business address. You can receive mail at one of our offices in London or elsewhere or via our partners Häfli Rusterholz in Switzerland and Offshore Privacy in Germany and the UK  who can arrange addresses in Spain, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany as well as 32 other locations worldwide. Between ourselves and our partners we can also provide package deals which comprise several different addresses in different countries or locations. This is especially useful if your needs are more complex than average. If you need for example an address in London, another in Germany and a third address in the USA or Australia it is much more cost effective to but them as a package; especially if the volume of mail is likely to be low.

Through our partners worldwide and can provide solutions to every type of communications or confidentiality related matter. We can either hold your mail for collection, fax, and scan or simply forward it to you as per your instructions. Your mailbox can be a stand alone service or used in conjunction with our phone services enabling you to project a professional image confident that you will receive all you messages and mail with minimum delay.

About Mailbox Services

Many clients ask “What is a maildrop or mailbox service?” Basically, it’s a mail forwarding service. In other words, an address either in the person’s own country or elsewhere which allows someone to use the address to discreetly receive mail and then have it forwarded to an address where they are actually located. Sometimes it's in the same country or even the same town, other times it can be located in another country or continent and the location will depends on what you seek to achieve. The way it works is that mail is sent to the maildrop and is then forwarded unopened in an envelope to its final destination. Some maildrops also offer a service where they will open and scan or fax the mail. The key when setting up confidential offshore services is to remember that, provided what you are doing is not blatantly illegal, there are never going to be any problems with the authorities. No maildrop, internet or communications company is going to want to get indirectly involved in scams or other crimes involving their clients.

Some people say, "If you are doing nothing wrong who needs Privacy? I have nothing to hide!" but how often do you find that, when you buy something the shop asks for your name and address, then a few weeks later you start receiving piles of junk mail. Try giving them a name other than your own and you are guaranteed to get junk mail shortly after.

What are the main advantages of a private mailbox?

A Mail Box Account allows you to use our address as your Registered Office or Business address and to receive your mail at our London Address or another location such as Wales or the north of England if preferred.

Our Mail Boxes also offer complete anonymity and are completely confidential and are ideal for stopping unwanted callers. The way we handle your mail is entirely up to you.  We can forward the mail to any location in the world. We can also hold it for collection at our office premises where you will be given a mail box card.

We also sign for all mail on your behalf including Royal Mail and Courier Deliveries and notify you by text, email and phone when a parcel has arrived.

The prestigious addresses your clients will see and you will use are in the City of London (EC1) near Old Street, we have another facility in EC2, one in WC1 and another in E18. We also have facilities in other UK locations such as Nottingham and Manchester.

Do I have to select a location if I require a London address? No, The prestigious London addresses are in various parts of London but our recommended choice is the City office near Old Street (EC1V), we have another facility in EC2, one in WC1 and another in E18 which is ideal for personal mail or residential situations. For most clients EC1V is ideal. We also have facilities in other UK locations such as Nottingham and Manchester. Unless you require a specific London location we will use our facility in EC1V because it is the most flexible and easiest to use and get to. If you need a specific London location or have particular requirements just give us a call and we will be able to advise on the best solution to meet your needs.

Who are London and UK Maildrops? We are a leading Virtual Office provider established in July 1992.

Where are your maildrops located? We have 6 addresses in Central London (available for 3 months minimum) plus two addresses in a residential part of East London (minimum of 12 months) and various other UK locations such as the south coast.

My Mail Forwarding Service is a fixed cost but what other charges are incurred for mail forwarding?  Mail forwarding is charged at standard royal mail rates, plus a handling fee of 10p per letter. We ask for £25 to be paid on your account for these. Parcels are forwarded at the cost of the parcel and a handling charge of £5.

If I use your fax service how often are faxes forwarded?  Faxes are forwarded as soon as received. Better still order our fax to email service with your own dedicated fax number at a one of fees of £50.

Are there any set up charges? No.

How long does it take to get the service up and running?  Once payment has been received your service will be up and running often on the same day. Most services are set up within 24-48 hours.

How often are telephone messages forwarded?  Messages are forwarded as soon as they are received. Messages left for you are automatically sent on as an email file attachment to any email address listed. Alternatively, messages can be sent to you as a text message to your mobile phone.

Can calls be diverted to another number?  Yes please contact us for details because we have a large range of options and can advise the best route to keep costs to a minimum.

Do you send mail on our behalf if we send mail to you to forward to our clients?  Yes we do. It can also be sent to other locations worldwide for forwarding to your clients if required.

How often is mail forwarded? Mail is forwarded as often as you require; whether it be, as and when post arrives or once a week. The decision is yours.

What costs are involved for changing the mail forwarding address?  There is no charge for changing an address. Just email us with the new details from the email address we hold on file and we will confirm receipt of the instruction.

How much do you charge to set me up a phone number routing to my office number elsewhere?
Much depends on where you are and where you need the number. If you are abroad we charge a one off fee to set up a UK National Rate Number with free diversion/forwarding to most countries worldwide. We can also supply numbers in every town in the UK if required.

How long must I agree to sign up for a UK number in say Birmingham or Manchester for? We have arrangements with BT and other companies to arrange numbers for as short a time as 6 months.

Can you arrange UK fax numbers? Yes as above in every town we can arrange fax to email.

Do you offer secure UK based email accounts? Yes we can set up an account from scratch or allocate an email address using one of 28 existing domains.

What happens if I want to cancel before my subscription ends? All you need to do is email us informing us of the date of cancellation. However no reimbursement of the initial subscription is made.

Are there any cancellation charges? No

Can we collect mail? Yes most of our locations have this facility.

How do you send my mail? What services do you use? We use a variety of services, depending on the weight, size and value of your package. You can also choose the service you want. Our primary delivery services are:

Please Note: Basic Identification such as a passport or driving licence scan will be required for every Mail Box contract. This will be requested after payment has been submitted. This does not need to be provided for everyone using the box but it is required for anyone receiving registered items, collecting mail or for the person primarily reponsible for the box.
